Cat6 for general workstation drops (cost-effective, 1 Gbps full-distance, 10 Gbps up to 55m). Cat6a for backbone uplinks, AV distribution zones, and PoE++ camera runs requiring 10 Gbps at full 100m distance.

Properly installed structured cabling is rated for 20-25 years. The cabling will outlast 3-5 generations of network equipment connected to it.

Cable schedule, wall outlets, patch panels, server racks, structured drops to each work area, fiber backbones, full Fluke testing of every link, and handover documentation (as-built drawings, test reports, warranty certificate).

Yes for inter-building runs (above 100m), high-bandwidth backbones (10G+ between switches), and electrically noisy environments. Cat6a is for inside a single building up to 100m per run.
